Another awesome build Kevin. You need to do a making of video or an article telling us exactly how you build one of your models and what materials and tools you use.
Thank you. This one was straightforward, the basic plan was cut out of plasticard, with plasticard ribs to give it 3 dimensions. The spaces between were bulked out with bits of balsa and then skinned over with milliput. The canopy was heat formed. Whole lot sprayed yellow. Biro panel lines, some letraset and striping tape to finish the look. Weathering was mainly 2b pencil, sealed with lacquer.
Wow - right there, you have described several procedures that I could nary imagine accomplishing. If this is “straightforward,” more power to you. I am truly humbled by your craftsmanship. SFZ
Very professional Kev.
ReplyDeleteHow big is the model ?
Thank you, much appreciated. The model is about a foot long.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, sublime, magnificent. A truly stunning model. Thunderbird 4 being a personal favorite of mine, these photos brought tears to my eyes. Bravo.
ReplyDeleteThank you, most kind. TB4 is one of my favourites too.
ReplyDelete12 inches is a good size for a decent model of TB4. Probably good enough for a mid shot of the craft in the series itself.
