SCOOBY DOO MEETS BATMAN SLOT CAR SET
I get emails from AutoWorld covering kits, die-casts, and slot-cars. The latter do not usually interest me, but this set looks like fun. Scooby-Doo Meets Batman Electric Racing Slot Car Set, in HO scale.
There is 18 feet of two-lane slot car track - 18 ft of Spooktacular Racing Fun. There is a cardboard stand-up backdrop, a Scooby loop, two squeeze tracks, and glow in the dark track graphics.
Two vehicles are included. The Scooby Doo Mystery Machine van, which does not include any figures; and a 1966 Cartoon Series Batmobile, in dark blue, with figures of Batman and Robin. This is a cartoon version of the 1966 live-action Batmobile, which did actually appear in a couple of 1970s episodes of Scooby Doo. Both vehicles are available separately, and not just in this set.
The US retail price is listed as $189.99, so it is an expensive set, but there is plenty in the box. This site shows the contents of the box in detail.

This 'spooky' set has been released in time for Halloween.
It seems there have been a number of both Batman and Scooby Doo slot car sets, in various scales, by different companies over the years.

SCOOBY DOO PEZ
The subject of PEZ and Scooby Doo recently came up. Very Halloween!
The Scooby gang were available individually on blister cards, in plastic bags, or all together in a large set. The packaging resembled the Mystery Machine van - I think this is simply a printed cardboard box. I never saw any of these sets, just the individually carded versions.

SCOOBY AND THE PUSSYCATS
Someone recently mentioned that Scooby Doo made a guest appearance in an episode of Josie and the Pussycats! Is this a fact known to you readers?

SCOOBY YOU?
I watched a modern Scooby Doo cartoon with our Grandson Junior this week. It was Mystery Incorporated. It was lot more violent than I remember from my own debut in 1969 and romance wasn't an issue I don't think back then. In Incorporated Velma fancies Shaggy and geeks fantasise about Velma. Strikingly Scooby talks fluently!
One thing I noticed that was there back in the day was Scooby's kite-shaped collar pendent. Now it reminds me of another kite-shaed pendent, which I had as a kid. Its the one worn by my beloved Mod Monster, which I've written about many tomes and the pendent specifically here...

BELLA'S SCOOBY DOOS
Here is an item from Bella's Toy Chest, on the 50th Anniversary of Scooby Doo from 2019. Lots of Scooby Doo toys - a large plastic Mystery Machine van, and various figures. The figure of frightened Scooby even has pop-out eyes, which is totally nuts.

Another Scooby Doo item has more figures, and there is a very brief shot of a mug.

A word of warning, Bella is pretty rough when it comes to opening boxes. Some people may be reduced to tears.

IS ARIEL REALLY DAPHNE?
Me and 4 year old Junior were watching Disney's the Little Mermaid on VHS yesterday. I was amazed to see it was released in 1989 and gobsmacked to think I watched it with my own daughter when she was herself 5 way back when.
Seeing redheaded Ariel again I immediately thought of a cartoon character I loved when I was just 8 way back in 1969, Daphne, the feisty co-leader of the Scooby Do gang.
See what you think. Ariel right. Daphne left, if you couldn't tell!
