THE 1978 STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL
It just wouldn't be Christmas without one showing of the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special!
Festive Wookie family fun and the first appearance of Boba Fett. There's cosmic prog rock and it even has Princess Leia singing Jedi carols!
You know you want to watch it! I don't even think this is on Disney +! One and a half hours of vintage first trilogy Star Wars!
[viewers at the time on November 17th 1978 were expecting The Incredible Hulk on CBS but they got this instead!]
Enjoy and tell us what you think!

RE-INFORCED! THE STORY OF KENNER'S RECYCLED STAR WARS TOYS

IT'S RIGGED!
This CLIM extravaganza is a classic multi-wheeled monster.
Interestingly, the listing on Spain's Todocoleccion suggests that the red driver cab is somehow linked to a Star Wars Mini Rig!
What do you think?
Here's two I saw on Ebay.
Is it the MTV-7?
or ISP-6?

THE WHITE WITCH FINISHED
With the prototype firmly in my sites, some new white paint and a cauldron of bits later, my Star Wars White Witch is done!
It was a lot of glued-fingers fun!
Double, double, droid and bubble!
See what you think.

THE WHITE WITCH: ALL SHAMPOO AND SUPER GLUE
My latest project is a DIY White Witch prototype.
The White Witch was a Star Wars DROIDs vehicle and only this prototype was ever made. It was photographed for Kenner by Kim Simmons. It was a sort of flying rocket car.
I've always liked the toyish look of it. Lots of customs have been made and I wanted a crack too.
So, I got my shampoo bottles and tops together.
More witchery to come.....
And voila! Plastic salad!
Now I need a front tip, some pilots, a roll bar and paint! Oh, and a bat's whisker!

THE WHITE WITCH PROTOTYPE
Years ago I found this book at a boot sale, The White Witch, a Droid Adventure.
The White Witch is the ship.

Sunday Pickins
Slim pickins down the boot sale today. The Missus had more luck getting outdoor toys for the Juniors this summer. Here's my meagre haul for £2.
The car is an Airfix E Type I think. The two Star Trekkers are from 2009. Chewwy is a bootleg. Anything you like?

Star Wars: A New Hope TV Spot 1976
Oh what joy!
When did you first see a New Hope?
1977 KENNER STAR WARS FIGURES TV AD
1977 toy heaven!
Do you have any of the Kenner Star Wars figures? Pictures welcomed!
STARRAKER
This is the Starraker.
It looks a lot like an Eagle at the front to me.
Starraker first appeared in March 1980 in a Marvel Star Wars Weekly comic and was drawn by Carmine Infantino and Gene Day.
You can read more about the ship here on Wookipeadia. Anyone remember Star Wars weekly?
YOU'RE OUR ONLY HOPE
What a hoot! Star Wars Episode 4 auditions! Over an hour of nervous readings with youthful wannabees like Kurt Russell no less and less-well known actors like William Katt, who went on to star in the cult horror movie House in 1985. Cindy Williams was already known as Shirley in the hit TV show Happy Days and Robby Benson, who I personally don't know at all.
Did George pick the right actors?

NORTHERN STROLL
A post-Easter trip to Selby, North Yorkshire, was mucho fun yesterday.
In a second-hand shop some old Galactic friends from the Seventies peered out from beneath the counter's Carbonite glass.
With welcome counsel from Jedi Master Wotan I released two of the figures, Hammerhead and a Power Droid [this was in the window].
Which figures would you have got readers?
There's at least one non-Star Wars character in there. Can you spot it?
In a charity shop this buff fellow said Who Am I?
I said I don't Know!
Do you?
