Cups of hot tea is what need at Christmastime.
Or Mugs of warming spiced Gluhwein.
I picked up these Bravestarr mugs as a fun addition to my old toy stall back in the late 90's and early 00's.
I liked to have multiple mint items on there so more buyers could enjoy them. I thought they looked good too, sort of shop like.
I never watched Bravestarr but I got in quite a lot of the show's collectables back then. They were popular as were most 80's TV cartoons.
These neat plastic cups were bought as a lot from an old toy shop at the top of Shipley Glen Tramway in the mod-90's. I spent £15 and came away with a ton of cool collectables like this. Sadly its no longer there as I visited the tram with Moonbase Junior again this year.
I seem to recall my best Bravestarr item was a near mint boxed Fort Kerium playset, which looked great on my stand I must admit. It was huge!
There was talk of Bravestarr's boxed toy horse Thirty Thirty being sold off for £1 each in discount shops in 1989 but I never saw any. Then again I had only just started collecting toys so may well have missed all the discounters then
The Thirty Thirty tale always makes me think of the even more desirable Kenner ALIEN being sold off in the cheapo shops after being pulled. Alas, I remained oblivious to the Xenomorph on the High Street in the 80's.
Have you any old toy shop or discounter finds Readers or indeed any Bravestarr toy tales?
