Rubber Soul

Blimey, I so recall this rubber frog idling online. I had so many rubber animals and insects as a kid. Frogs, snakes, tons of snakes, crabs, ants, flies, centipedes and even a severed hand! 

I can still feel the waxy surface of them and deep oily smell.

 We picked up a jiggler sucker bat tother day 

Perfect for Halloween!

It reminded me of a 1979 toy I would have loved as a kud in the Sixties,

Mattel's Gre-gory!

The big bad vampire bat.

Here's a comic and. I couldn't find a TV spot.

Besides it's rubbery action, Greg's unique selling point was a blood pump in its chest!

 I wonder if it sold well?

Operated by a pump button on its back, this feature has dried up now in most Greg-gories by the sounds of it ( as attested by You Tube videos on the toy).

UN-MEN JIGGLERS

Kenner's Swamp Thing figures included rubber jigglers.

They were worn by the Un-Men.

These rubber jiggler heads always reminded me of the finger monsters popular when I was kid .

You can still get them today virtually everywhere.

Would finger monsters be a decent replacement for the original Un-Men jigglers if you needed one?

JIGGLERS AND THINGS

Saw a kid at a festival t'other weekend playing with what I would have called a rubber jiggler when I was a nipper. Rubber jigglers were sold from display boxes on the counters of Preston's toy shops. They were basically monsters, which slipped over the finger. I think Bill's a big jiggler fan too! Are they still available?

Kenner's old Swamp Thing action figure line used something similar to Jigglers too. I wonder if Jiggler collectors go for them as well?  

I used to love Swamp Thing and Man Thing comics. Hard to say who'd beat the other in a Thing-off! What do you think?
