RAZORBACK: MISSED AGAIN!

I missed it again! Razorback, the Oz shocker that our very own Looey worked on!

It was showing earlier this month at The Leeds Weird of Oz segment of the Film Festival and I didn't know!

Still on my bucket list!

LOOEY AND HIS RAZORBACK: HOGGING THE BLOG!

Heard of the the monster boar movie Razorback? 

I have this old thing hanging above a doorway. 

It's the head from the full size Stunt Pig! Uh, I mean Boar -we were never allowed to refer to it as a pig!

It was a sort of a Pantomime horse costume, with wheels on the stiff rear legs, used when the Hero pig (operated by 10 people) was too cumbersome or in use elsewhere.

I actually got to perform in this suit one time, when the Stunt operator was unavailable because of his 10 hour turnaround. I climbed into the suit then it started to rain, so I just pulled my legs up inside, they threw a tarp over me and I just laid back and read a book until the sun came out.

Then they wired me up with bullet hits and when you see the pig through Bill Kerr's telescopic sight, that's actually we dancing around!

Oh, Cowboy Days, I tell ya -we'd never be allowed to do that kind of guerilla film making nowadays!

By the way, do you like The Deluge carnival sign painted on our bathroom door? Just me getting artistic there!

Hmmm, I think that pig - ah, I mean Boar, needs dusting!
