Seeing Red

Bull fighting is not my cup of tea at all so I'm always surprised to see anything to do with it amongst collectables. Here's an unusual toy baggie from Hong Kong complete with bull and matador.

Don't think its Tri-play though, the company mentioned the other day in Paul A's article.

Have you heard of Tri-Play Toys ?

I have just discovered a US toy company I have never heard of, and so far I have not been able to dig up anything on them.

Have you ever heard of Tri-Play Toys Inc., 4757 N. Ravenswood Ave., Chicago 40, Illinois ?

I do not know how Art Linkletter fits in, although he did endorse various toys and games.

The company seems to have been active in the 1950s. The lack of a ZIP Code supports an early date. This card back shows some pretty bizarre toys. Well worth looking at, if I can find any information.
