Well, today Moonbase Junior has gone back home to his parents, who sadly had to work yesterday. His departure signals the end of our Christmas really. Okay, the tree and the decorations still hang around the place but the childish fun has finished. These festive reminders usually linger till the 6th January.
As for Christmas itself, it was an intimate and small family affair here on the Base. Lots of feasting and prezzie giving, party games and jokes, and some telly watching. The thing I remember the most are the family meals round the festive dining table: Christmas Dinner, Boxing Day brekkers, Christmas Dinner round 2 on Boxing Day [leftovers] and evening cheese and crackers.
Moonbase Junior made sure there was plenty of laughter around the place offering us all cockroach chewing gum and searching for spiders with his new torch!
His fave prezzie from us was Magic Tracks, a fantastic clip-together track system with really cool and powerful battery-powered cars with flashing lights. I once bought in an old 80's set like this years ago so its good to see the design lasting so long. I'll film it in action at some point.
You can get an idea of what can be achieved with these sets when you watch this uber-neat video of the luminous mega-version of magic tracks in all its glory, which we may well have to get now! Do you like it?
I hope your Christmas was enjoyable too readers and that you've survived in one piece ready to face the as yet unknown but hope-infused future that is 2020.
