Cost me a Packet

 I dug this JAWS 2 crisp packet up in the 90s near our house. The dog sniffed it out.

I had a big pile of packets and ephemera like this in my old toy stall.

It's old but not as old as my Golden Wonder Kung Fuey snack bag from the early 70s. I scoffed the bacon and mushroom snacks and framed the empty bag at the time.

The packet is displayed with my Jager Toys Kung Fu doll header card. I think it was a simple hollow plastic 12 incher with a basic cotton karate suit and belt.

Sadly the doll walked.

Did or do you have any interesting crisp or snack packets?

LUCKY BAGS ANYONE?

Lucky bags were just the bees knees when I was a nipper.

I loved that crinkly paper the bag was made of and the words Lucky Bag always brought a smile to my face.

I think they were crimped together along the top edge to keep them closed.

Inside was usually a small toy and some sweets. For some reason I'm seeing sugar coated almonds as one of the sweets but I maybe wrong.

No idea what the toys were now but I know I adored getting them.

LUCKY BAGS AND WUNDERTUTEN

Lucky Bags were an important part of the kidscape back in the Sixties. Like a penny mix, Lucky bags were what  pocket-money was made for.

I can remember that they were usually plain paper, maybe light blue  and always A4 or a similar size. For the life of me though, I can't recall what was in them!

Anyone got any idea?
