Here's my new home-made SpaceX toy.
Soyuz 6 & 7
I based my design on the toy featured on Paul V's brilliant Spacex website.
The bodies are made from deodorant roller tops.
The engines are salt bottle caps finished with cap gun ring caps
The solar panels are segments of an old metal bracelet
The orb heads are plastic golf balls
I've included the docking magnets described on Paul's site. It docks perfectly!
I ran out of red enamel early on so had to use water-based red. Not ideal but it worked OK.
The lettering is my usual sellotape/ letraset trick
Quite tricky, I enjoyed making these Soyuz a lot.
In my haste though I forgot to add two silver radar poles. I've a good reason for adding them now as something dramatic happened when I took this moon shot.
I hope you like these Soyuz.
