P L A Y M O B I L
Having just woken up from a post-Flohmarkt Schlaf I've been half-day dreaming about something I saw on another stall, a huge old set of the Playmobil Polar Station range.
Two large fruit boxes of loose items: labs, figures, kayaks, a plane, yellow snow buggies, buildings and a really large wide-tracked snow cat.
Here's a similar bundle I saw online.
I was sorely tempted but there's no way I could fit two more crates into our already planned to be crammed car when we return to Blighty.
Besides, I'm not a Playmobil collector but if I was then German Floeh und TroedelMarkte strike me as being extremely worthwhile.
There are entire stands rammed with the range, on the tables, on the floor and on shelving!
I know very little about Playmobil alas but the magpie in me is attracted to old shiny toys and it's such a seductive line.
I walked away from the Polar station.
Another Geobra toy I liked there was an old plastic angular cash register.
I picked it up and embarrassingly the ringing plastic drawer shot open and all the play money fell out into a mixed lot beneath!
I retrieved it all and scurried away in search of the Kaffee stand!

JUNIOR 7
We wuz over at Junior's place recently, when he'd just turned 7.
As a party favour, I got him some random toy missiles but I've no idea what they're off. Have you?

Vorsprung Durch Plastik
Taking some time out in Germany, where we're dealing with family matters, I've remembered were in the land of Kinder egg and Playmobil collecting.
Visiting our favourite charity shop yesterday brought me face to face with several hundred Playmobil figures in a large tub. They all seemed to be marked Geobra and dated 1974. Is that year standard?
I will be keeping my eyes peeled for the fab Plymobile pentagonal Space Station from old. That would be sweet to bring back but won't be cheap.
As for Kinder eggs or - Ü -ei (short for Surprise eggs) here, there's loads around in the Charity shops. Searching for particular ones ain't easy as they tend to be loose heaps in plastic tubs.
I did find a nice boxed set of Kinder Airbus aeroplanes for 1€. They look great in their window box.
I also snaffled an old Barbie clone, a die-cast THe Batman corvette, some loose Kinder toys, a KIDCO truck and two PEZ from Pixar's Planes. Cheap as Pommes!
Whilst here too I've collected a parcel that was waiting for me at our mates' house. I shall blog it for the bloggiversary in September, suffice to say its the best example of the box and toy I've seen! Watch this space ... Ship!

THE BATS IN THE HANGAR
Its been a funny old week. I'm off work at the moment. Last weekend I spotted this pair of dinosaurs in a wool shop. Knitting was a popular Jurassic pastime don't you know!
My second bodgemobile is coming on very slowly. Here it is in the Bat hangar with a fresh coat of non-black paint and protected from dust and dog hairs. At the current rate Bruce Wayne will be able to take it out around Christmas Day!

MISSION TO MARS BY PLAYMOBIL
The modern Mission to Mars toys by Playmobil are pretty darn cool. Moonbase Junior has got most of them now. They remind me a bit f Major Matt Mason toys!
Here's the Playmobil TV ad. Do you like them?
MASTERS OF MARS
These guys arrived at Junior's house on his birthday.
Playmobil Mars Mission and Masters of the Universe.
That space station could almost be Triang SpaceX!
