The other day I mused about this mystery brown space ship and how I'd seen a blue and red one years ago.
Well with some concentrated googling I found what I was looking for on the Wayback Machine Zoomer Toys Sold page!
Its called the Space Car and here it is in all its blue and red glory, complete with gorgeous box!
I imagine its very collectable. I want one!
As is the way I then found another unboxed example on Worthpoint from 2014, which is described as a '60s Plastic Friction Flash Gordon Style Space Car X-20. Blue with red and white fittings and blue glass.
No makers name. Marked on one lower side is No.226 Made In Hong Kong. Strong running friction motor with siren driving the rear wheels.
I must say I prefer the blue and red toy much more than the brown one.
Do you?

UPDATE!
Reader Charlie Starkey in the US has sent in pics of his actual Space car toy!
Woodsy, here's my ebay find of that 'Mystery Plastic Spaceship' thingy you posted on Saturday 23 May.
One side has the letters 'SPACE CAR' embossed near the bulbous top, and 'Hong Kong, No.226' on the lower skirt section. A previous owner repainted the rear end red disc black and broke off the lights and a small front wheel!
P.S. it had a friction motor underneath!
