I'm not into social media but my Grandson Junior loves watching The Fish Guys on You Tube. He also dips into the ever smiling Mr.Beast, which he did today, and I was amazed at a range of action figures the online influencer and millionaire has released.
Their clearly harking back to what I assume are his own childhood toys as the connections are fairly obvious.
See what you think readers, as Mr.Beast's Lab Hybrids toys will be in a shop near you and he's clearly having fun, whether he's homaging or ripping off. What do you reckon?
Likely inspiration from 1980's MOTU Leech?
Mr.Beast Hybrid
With MoonBase Junior the Grandson here it means Minecraft or animal videos on YouTube Tube. No normal kids TV as I would know it!
The current animals hit is a 'show' on You Tube called The Fish guys. Basically it's two young American men who have a warehouse full of fish tanks, which they fill with exotic fish they buy from all over the place, all done with a level of excitement I can only dream of!
The whole process, especially the unboxing, is professionally filmed, interspersed with sponsorship from Morgan and Morgan and offers of mystery boxes for sale to the thousands of followers. There's lots of info about the fish and no swearing. It's clearly a career.
The unboxing is a phenomenon I've noticed on You Tube. It's a thing in itself. To film stuff being unboxed. Fish, cosmetics, anything. Toys too.
Is this unboxing craze something you've come across?
Here's a video Bill found of the same model of toy he recently got, a fabulous mystery space vehicle.
This is fun!
Anyone made anything like this?
It reminds me of the Triang SpaceX Moon Buggy a bit.
Here's the original NASA prototype in action.
and there's more here.
