SPANISH SPACE TOY RANGE

 

We've seen this before but its worth seeing again I think, the gorgeous 1968 range of space toys by JP shown in a toy catalogue on Todocollecion.

These toys were Spanish chromed re-issues of the LP range we've spoken about many times on MC.

Do you have anything like this or the LP versions?

VILPA SPACE TOYS: SHINY SHINY

 A couple of years ago we featured this shiny Spanish version of the Moon Explorer by JP.

JP released shiny versions of the bigger LP vehicles.

Well, there are more fab shiny Spanish space toys it turns out.

Toy firm Vilpa were great at it.

Here's the red Ovni Hucha,

 and the silver and blue/red Hucha Espacial. I think its a money box too.

I love these Vilpa toys and the boxes. They're like redline Hot Wheels spaceships! 

There's a hint of JR21 and the X-series of toys about them.

SPANISH SPACE BUS: RE-FOUND!

Sometimes my old photo archive surprises me.

A while ago I blogged about a a Spanish catalogue showing a Spanish series of chromed LP-style toys by JP.

Around the same time I blogged an actual example of one the toys, the Tractor Espacial.

I'd never seen any of the Spanish toys before 2018.

Or so I thought.

Lo and behold, I had another picture of one of them as far back as 2012, when I saved this one from some now forgotten auction [I may have blogged it at the time without knowing what it was. The LP Space Bus was still a bit of a mystery back then!]

So, here we have the Autobus Espacial!

It's always great when things come together.

Earlier this year I found a Spanish toy catalogue entry for JP versions of LP space vehicles.

And like two buses arriving, an actual toy came up shortly after!

So here, courtesy of the new owner of both, is a collage of the catalogue entry and the Tractor Espacial.

discovery five:JP los vehiculos espacio: spanish LP MOON EXPLORER and range

The internet is a wonderful thing.

I recently discovered these toys, which are wholly new to me and the blog.

They are a Spanish version of the LP range of boxed plastic space vehicles. 

The original LP range was featured on this blog by Ferryman in its very first year!

They are called Los Vehiculos Espacio and were released by a company called JP in 1969.

Many of the LP boxed vehicles are there including the Moon Bus lookalike, the Moon Explorer at the top.

The unique feature of this Spanish range is that they were chromed in gold colour.

They look stupendous as do the boxes!

Incidentally the space scooter is based on an unusual Hong Kong toy, which I hadn't known was LP, but have seen before, the Space Motorcycle, pictured below.

Has anyone any further info about these toys from JP?
