I took this snap at my daughters a few years back. Her toy Samson was just surfing the net. Ernie [or is it Bert?] and his mate Duck were hanging out too.

I think Samson is from Sesame Steet. is that right?

What do you think about the old TV series Sesame Street?

I remember seeing it Saturday mornings way back in the Sixties and Seventies. For all I know it may have lasted longer. I think my Daughter watched it in the 80's!

I can hear the words now 'made by Childrens Television Workshop' or something like that.

The Count, Big Bird, the grouch in the dustbin, ernie and bert [or were they Muppets?] and many more: they were all there in the background whilst I was growing up.

The odd thing is that I wound't say that Sesame Street was an important part of my TV viewing back then or at least that's how it seems now looking back. It was more incidental.

I may just be saying this because for some reason my brain relegates old educational TV shows below the true adventure programmes like Thunderbirds and Saturday cartoons. 

Play Away, Play School and the like are all relegated this way, which is a disservice to them I'm sure.
