Latest news from me ....
My second SEASTAR 5 INVADERS FROM THE ABYSS....supermation comicbook is nearing completion for a release in 2025....SEASTAR 5 "PRINCESS FROM LEMURIA"....
Some preview images attached....the second book is bigger than the first one....
In 2024 Book one was released in the Amazonstore UK....on Amazon Kindle readers....on E/Bay UK....and in ComicBook shops across Lancashire...it has been received very well...looking forward to the second

Sci-fi book which will take the saga into the "lost continent of Lemuria" beneath the Pacific Ocean....will keep you posted on that....

Also in 2025 my first Sci-FI Spacecraft model miniatures....eight of them....which I have designed and built will be appearing in a new UK Feature Film to be released in late 2025...its being produced by UK Producer Simon Cox....called "OF INFINITE WORLDS".....two images of models from the film attached....will tell you more later in the year...

S E A S T A R 5 UPDATE

Hi Woodsy

Just letting you know that my Children's sci-fi ComicBook Series "SEASTAR 5 INVADERS FROM THE ABYSS" has moved forward a bit in the last six months....I have been busy....

The first comicbook on the Amazon Kindle platform as a digital download , also available now as a paperback illustrated printed edition in the Amazon store...UK and USA....and others...

The full supermation comicbook edition can be purchased at comicbook stores in Lancashire England at Lancaster , Preston , Blackburn....together with book store "storytellers inc. " St.Annes on Sea .

The second book in the series is in production now with a release in late summer this year....to be followed by book three in the winter....

We are also on Twitter and Instagram , Facebook social media platforms...

The series is starting to get attention....some new images from the series attached for your readers to see....

Will keep you posted on my progress....my new format of supermation retroart images....a combined photo-art , drawn characters with realistic photon art backgrounds is beginning to be accepted in a number of areas....will see how far I can push the style....

SEASTAR 5: INVADERS FROM THE ABYSS!

Just sending over a news release to you.....some of your followers might like to know the latest on my Children's sci-fi series in a comic book and how its moving forward....

Today the project is now on three release networks in the UK.....

Amazon Kindle Store - with a "download" electronic version.....

Amazon Publishing Store - with a fully illustrated version in a Paperback Book......a print on demand service....

Ebay UK.....with a special edition version in a comic book format , that also includes a short behind the scenes "Making of SEASTAR 5" article .

The new Paperback Book Version is going out worldwide....the UK one is now available from today.....in Amazon USA in five days , Japan in seven days....Europe and everywhere else ten days....

I have finally decided to give the project a new push by a print version....later this year two more episodes from the series are coming out , these are currently in production and I will send you some previews in due course .

LOST MASTERS

I'm working on something at the present time ....from my past you might like to put across to your readers.....it has been found in my "archives"....thought it had been lost....but survived from the early 2000's.....

....."Masters of the Universe"......I was involved with the re-launched Toy Range back then....and also with the Comic that came out.....that lasted a year or so.....

.......anyway when I was doing the pictures for the Range to appear in the comic....I also did something interesting with the range....

.....I created the outline for a comicbook story using the action figures....images were taken on model sets and a script produced ....the comic with the "photostory" never was released....went into a box...."lost"....but now I have found it and going to put it on my website as a free to view webcomic.....in early 2024....

.....have mentioned that on "Twitter" yesterday and got over 800 views in a couple of hours....so looks like some fans will be looking in on my site shortly to see the story, the original images and some updated new ones will be coming along with the story........ - some of the originals unfortunately not in a good state anymore .

Anyway....some previews attached, your readers might like to see them....and in the early part of next year will send you some more from the updated elements from the story .

My first Toy Industry product I got to work with....model sets , painted backgrounds and a lot of close up picture taking....these early pictures took me into a whole different way of doing things for my work...with M.A.S.K. using studio photography....before this I did only Portraits , Weddings , Theatres Publicity Pictures of Artists and Groups in Blackpool...some Commercial Products Photography and Motor Sport Magazine stuff....a whole new world for me was just about to happen around the corner in 1988/1989....

SEASTAR 5 INVADERS FROM THE ABYSS -THE COMIC! LAUNCH WEEK!

Hi,

Hope your well ... here's my latest venture , a children's sci-fi comic book , the printed version is released today .

SEASTAR 5 INVADERS FROM THE ABYSS.....

the supermation comic book printed version .

Its taken a bit longer in time and energy to pull this together but its finally done .

My childhood dream of creation of my own printed comicbook is now out on the E/Bay sales platform.

Its even getting noticed on the social media platforms of Instagram and Twitter.

The follow-up two books to this first one are in production and hopefully be released later this year or early in 2024 .

All the images in this new book version the new version of the printed book is extended and also includes a "Making of SEASTAR 5 feature article....the story is like my earlier Amazon Publishing Download Kindle release but also extended........images all created with model vehicles , sets and characters as cut-outs using artwork drawn figurines with cloth clothing for uniforms etc...

Will keep you posted on my "super submarine adventures at the bottom of the sea" in the future .

More images from my toy photography archives....

The first one....this was a catalogue panorama shoot for the "ZERO HOUR TOY RANGE" for Bluebird Toys of Swindon .

It was also used as a poster that Toy Shops could display.....and it also was used further as a giveaway item to customers.....a big set six feet wide and seven feet deep....The model set was built at my studio in Lancashire in 1990 for the pictures for this range of toys.

The range was released in the USA by Mattel Toys and they received my pictures .....the first time my work went over the pond to the USA .

Second image....."Transformers Armada" Range....from Hasbro Toys.....This image was used for the Children's Comics publicity....appearing in Marvel Comics Transformers Comic and others from Panini Comics UK .

Third Image...."Mighty Max"....from Bluebird Toys in Swindon UK...I completed two photo shoots for the range which included model set photography.....with the range being very small figure items I had to use macro lens , closeup lens and the full bellows extension on my Mamiya 6x7 cameras to capture the images .

These images appeared everywhere including the Argos Catalogue's .....across the UK and abroad.....

More archive images in a few weeks.....hope Moonbasers enjoy looking back on these....

Here's some new images from my archives

Four images....

The first one....my first venture with Masters of the Universe....the early range shooting some images for Mattel ....just starting out with "Toy Photography in 1987".....learning what to do and not to do in those days....the direction my work would take then into now has been an adventure , a roller coaster career across the Toy Industry , Children's Comics , Advertising Photography and now into Films , TV and the Games Industry.....

Second image.....a self picture , with the "Bratz"....this miniature set built for a poster shoot on "BRATZ DO HALLOWEEN" , created for TITAN BOOKS publishing in the UK and MGA TOYS USA.....The haunted house set built on a five foot square model stage at my studio in Lancashire , England in the "2000's....

Third Image....."Bratz Treasures"....the Pirate Girls together...a small model set for this one....again a studio picture with artwork background.....also for Titan Publishing in England with the support of MGA Toys USA .

Finally image four...."Bratz Sports Range".....This was an interesting one ....the background is a real life image of a "Blackpool Sports Arena running track......I created a 30x20 colour print in my darkroom and mounted it on a board .

The model foreground set was built and the two were merged...."three red heads lighting used on this with balanced daylight filters to get the natural light look"......

RICHARD'S SEASTAR 5 COMIC BOOK LAUNCH SEQUENCE 3

Here we have the final part of the launch sequence...

the large Ocean Door entrance opens and the Goliath transporter with the SEASTAR 5 moves out from the Airlock onto the launch pad...the main engines increase power....the six hundred foot long super submarine separates from its transporter and moves down the channel alongside the island into the open Ocean....its first patrol mission is go....

Well I hope your readers have enjoyed seeing these images...as an extra bonus three further images attached...

Behind the scenes in my Studio Two....

The STAR KEY Base / Main Hanger Model Set...its pretty big....six feet in length.....also the "Underwater Ocean Door set" included here ....

And a view of the "Omelek Island model set with Lavelle Marine lab model.......

All my underwater photography is done in the "dry"....no water....the simulation effects are done in camera with filters....a three filter pack on the lens at once is usually used when I take SEASTAR 5 underwater shots .

This launch sequence is also going out with the promotional video for the Comic.....as a full animation sequence....more on that in the coming months....

RICHARD'S SEASTAR 5 COMIC BOOK LAUNCH SEQUENCE 2

Here's the second set of images for the LAUNCH OF SEASTAR 5 .... Hope you like them.

Inside Hanger One at Star Key Base...the mighty SEASTAR 5 on its Goliath Launch Transporter System....begins to move forward towards Airlock One.....Launch Station alert sounds.....all water tight doors and windows in the Hanger One close...safety systems go to launch alert ....SEASTAR 5 enters the Airlock.....the doors will close to the airlock as water jets are switched on to fill the Airllock....once pressure with the outside Ocean is equalised the Ocean Door will open....

RICHARD'S SEASTAR 5 COMIC BOOK LAUNCH SEQUENCE

I'm in the process of putting together a full Comic Version of my Children's Storybook Series " SEASTAR 5 INVADERS FROM THE ABYSS" , which is available as a download on Amazon Kindle with the first book in the series at the present time .

The new Comic release will be later this year....artwork in production at my studio currently....the Comic Book will be available via mail-order from my Studio....details on that later in the year.

Thought I would show your followers a full version of the SEASTAR 5 Submarine launch sequence that will be appearing for the first time in the Comic Book Release....an exclusive for you mate....

The Launch sequence consists of eleven images.....also further images will be added with the interactions of the crew of the submarine as they follow work to launch the submarine when the Comic is released. These are the model animation shots of the submarine .

We start on Omelek Island with the Lavelle Marine Lab....on the island surface....below that is STAR KEY Base....a secret submarine facility for the Aquanaut Marine Rangers Command ......the island forms part of the Kwajalein Atoll group in the Pacific Ocean.....

In Hanger One ....the SEASTAR 5 , the world's first submarine Carrier Battle Cruiser class of supersonic speed capable super submarines .

The super submarine on its launch vehicle transporter prepares for launch on its first patrol mission.....power systems on the super submarine come to life....the power up has started.....the Airlock doors are opened......

Just sending over some more images from my Archives....this time some more Action Man The Hero images....from my work on Action Man Comic with Marvel Comics UK and Panini Comics UK.....all photography and set designs by myself...." realistic background landscapes images" were all done by myself as well....

All the work was created in my various studios based in Lancashire during the nineties and 2000's .
