LADY P's FAB 3

 I think we've mentioned it before here on MC that FAB 3 was the name of Lady Penelope's Helijet.

It was also the name of her racehorse in a comic run.

Mask Me Another

I saw this costume on auction and thought, hmmm, is that mask a Lady Penelope? What do you think?

No idea about the blue costume. 

I had thought it was Ben Cooper brand but looks like Collegeville is the make.

One thing l did manage to do and was not able to to share on my site was to complete the full set on the six Fairylite Lady Penelope outfits!

They are all unused and on the card. 

It took me the best part of 15 years to do it!

LADY PENELOPE TOYS ANYONE?

Does anyone specialise in vintage Lady Penelope toys?

I ask because I imagine it to be quite tough to find them. I've never seen the elusive Sixties boxed JR21 tea set for instance. Come to think of it I've never seen any of the JR21 Penelope toys in the flesh.

Then of course there are the free gifts which came with the Penelope comic: bracelets and such. Are these the preserve of lady collectors or do they cross over into all Anderson collections and collecting?

I had the Fairylite Parker doll when I was a kid but not the Penelope doll, which my parents probably wouldn't have bought me because of defined gender lines around toys back then. According to my Folks, female dolls were for girls, pure and simple!

What is your experience readers? Have you come across any Lady Penelope toys?

LADY PENELOPE MASK?

I was browsing Ben Cooper masks the other day and I came across this one:

I immediately thought...Lady Penelope! But I was as wrong as a Toilet Roll Tracy Island. Its the Barbie Princess!

In fact I have been unable to find any vintage toy masks for Lady Penelope. There were toy play suits and jewelry but no masks.
