Paya's Over the Moon

Check out these fabulous space toy vehicles by Paya of Spain. Those boys are in remote control on the moon! There's nods to SpaceX and Century 21 too. How cool are they and Project SWORD sized too! 

They were advertised in the II Festival Mundial del Circi 1971-72 programme. Not sure what that was, although it looks like a circus from the cover!

Three Wheels on my Wagon

 I like this Loco Movel, which I think is Argentinian.

Essentially a monster truck with tri-tyre wheels.

It's reminiscent of the Paya Z and the rare Century 21 Lunar Climber - see labels.

 New Years Eve 2020 has opened its eyes here in the UK. For some of you it will be nearly over.

I've always liked the large Spanish version of the SpaceX Moon Buggy.

Most of the examples I've seen are light blue but now and then I see this cool red version.

There's something really neat about Paya's Jeep Lunar, their large version of the Moon Buggy.

I like the articulation and all the accessories sticking up. The pilot looks great too.

New to the Blog: Paya Jeep Lunar Comando. Nº 350: A New Moon Buggy

Just discovered this old auction on Todocollecion for this amazing Jeep Lunar, the large Spanish toy by Paya similar to the SpaceX Moon Buggy.

Everything about this version is different. The boxart is simply wonderful don't you think? It reminds me of Project SWORD!

The wheels are much slimmer and the astronaut is lot more primitive looking.

And its clockwork!

The more common and presumably later version of this toy by Paya was remote controlled. Its been on Moonbase many time. Just click the label Paya or Moon Buggy below.

I've also realised that this Buggy is the one pictured in the 1970 toy catalogue I blogged the other day.

Spain's PAYA released two old toys that are of interest to SWORD and SpaceX collectors, the mustardy Zancudo and the blue Jeep Lunar.

Here they both are in catalogues circa 1971.

SPANISH STROLL: THE ZANCUDO X-11000 TOY

The Zancudo X-11000 by Paya of Spain.

Terry H reminded me how cool it is and yes, the stuff of dreams. 

You have far more chance of getting hold of one of these though than the much rarer Century 21 version, the Lunar Climber.

Anyone got one?

PAYA LUNAR JEEP: THE BIG MOON BUGGY

Here's a lovely thing from reader Darth - a vintage Spanish PAYA Lunar Jeep and box cover art. Its much larger than the Triang SpaceX Moon Buggy. 

What a beautifully elegant toy and box! Anyone else got one of these or the Triang version?
