Major Matt Madel?

 

This Spanish spacecraft M7X looks fabulous. It has that Proteus sort of design.

Made for Madelman, which I think is the same size as Little Big Man, I often wonder if Major Matt Mason would be at home in it too.

Would the Major fit?

Just found this Spanish TV clip of the toy. It does indeed have lights, rockets, a see-through body and a handle. It's like a pair of big fab major space binoculars!

Walker Rider

 I'm not sure about this, the Walker Rider.

Is it a generic thing for other action figs like Micronauts or is it a toy in itself, even a knockoff?

There's hints of Micronauts, Galaxy Riders and more!

Arco's Action Figure Vehicle

I've always liked the idea of general toys being used with action figures. Sometimes companies did just that. Arco did it with this generic action figure car. 

I've never seen it but I imagine it went down well with kids who couldn't get hold of branded character vehicles. Star Wars is even namechecked on the box as well as GI Joe and others! Not sure who the figure is sat inside. Arco's own?

Have you mixed and matched unrelated vehicles, toys and figures readers?

What the heck, its nearly Christmas!

Its The Space Walker - Space Searcher toy vehicle from Echo Toys 1984.

It was released to muscle its way into the Star Wars figures craze. 

Its what I call a cuckoo toy.

Grand Central Space Walker

With only 48 views I had to post this rather bizarre but oddly quaint You Tube film starring the Radio Shack Space Walker at Grand Central Station in New York City.

It defines perfectly the idea of placing vintage toys in modern settings for the sheer fun of it! The You Tube film is by Philip Reed.

Is the Sears Space Mobile a Mattel Major Mat Mason Cuckoo?

Continuing my occasional theme of toys made by other companies so that well-known toys could be used with them [sort of like cuckoos!], I've probably blogged this before but the Sears Space Mobile seems to be just such a one.

With its antenna like the Firebolt Laser Canon's it seems to have been aimed at fans of Major Matt Mason toys and figures in the Sixties.

Did a Mattel Major Matt Mason figure actually fit inside the pilot's seat on this toy?

Anyone know?

Talking to Bill about this I realise that This vehicle came with a plastic astronaut that looked like Matt 

Mason but was only four and a half inches tall.

In US toy catalogues the Sears Spacemobile was advertised alongside Major Matt Mason toys. I'm still uncertain if the Major could sit or stand in the Sears toy. Do you know?
