Ever since I saw our very own Wotan's toy Eagle I've been on the look out for a reasonable and not ridiculously priced example.
The big problem is finding one that isn't damaged or missing parts, and those all important accessories.
Thankfully, a lovely affordable example has finally come my way, and what a beauty it is. Two and a half feet of precious plastic.
It comes with five action figures - three standing and two seated.
Each has a removable space helmet and space pack.
Each has a likeness of either Commander Koenig, Doctor Helena Russell, or Prof, Bergman.
(My two seated figures are Koenig and Bergman)
It has a working winch. The hook is lowered through a hatch in the centre of the central pod.
It also comes with 4 pistols and 1 laser rifle.(mine did come with just the one pistol, but as a bonus, two rifles) These sit on a weapon rack next to the winch.
The instruction leaflet comes in useful as a checklist for everything.
I could just wax lyrical about this superb Gerry Anderson toy. The accessories give it great play value and its sheer size is just awesome.
