CAPTAIN BLACK'S VIVID RIFLE

Re. your post on the mystery rifle, possibly from Captain Scarlet, I think Lewis is correct in his identification of this as being from the Captain Black figure.

Vivid Imaginations/Carlton did a range of Captain Scarlet Talking Action Figures. These seem to have come with different equipment to the non-talking figures, and the smaller carded figures.

The Captain Black Talking Action Figure comes with a rifle that looks to be the same as the one in your photo. It is a WW2 US Army M1 Carbine. A lightweight weapon for soldiers who did not need to carry a normal rifle.

RIFLING THROUGH THE CAPTAIN'S DRAWERS

I'm perplexed about the brown toy rifle in this Ebay Batman junk drawer shot.

I recently bought the very same rifle as part of a 1990's Vivid Imaginations 12" Hood doll figure lot at a boot sale. I didn't think it belonged to it but ... 

I see two 12" Vivid Captain Scarlet action doll caps in this shot too.

Is the rifle a Cap Scarlet Vivid weapon then?

M.A.X and BRAINS

I quite like the look of these toys by Vivid Imaginations. I don't have any but the articulation looks good.

1993: THE YEAR OF THE SPV

1993 was a great year for SPV's!

Here's two of the smaller versions.

This is the die-cast SPV, which I assume is the vehicle inside the big box video set I posted today. This is its more common bubble card sold as a rack toy.

Is it a straight copy of the Dinky toy my generation had as kids in the 60's?

This is another small 1993 SPV, this time an all plastic version. I've found a few of these at car boot sales and sold them on in the past. I think it was a talking toy. I always found them loose.

What packaging did it come in?

Saw these stacked high in Woollies years ago - 1993 according to small print in this screenshot. Strangely enough I never purchased any in the series!

I've just emailed Vivid Toys, the manufacturers of the new Thunderbirds Are Go! toys being released this year. I have asked them to release a Zero-X toy! A long shot I know but if enough of us email then who knows! The idea just needs some "lifting bodies" to get it off the ground! ha ha.

HEY MAC, HERE'S VIVID IMAGINATIONS JOE'S CAR

I got a email from our good friend and fellow blogger, Will Schwartz last night telling me he was thinking of adding a Vivid Imaginations Mac's Car from Joe 90 to his collection. I told him it was a super representation and that I'd  done a post on it last year.

However, after a fruitless search on the Moonbase blog  I failed to find it, so  I've dug out one or two photos I took for that post showing the Vivid Imagination Mac's Car in action.
