DRIVING YOU UP THE WALL

 

I so recall these as a kid, Wall Walkers, those little suckered plastic frames that walked down windows. Like a slinky for glass, there were great fun and a fun highlight one Christmas in the late Sixties.

This is the Kletter Maxe, the Wall Walker for the German market.

WALL WALKERS: WE FEEL YOUR PANE

 Blimey I remember Wall walkers from 1970 and this short clip on YT brought it all back! I was always amazed that such flimsy light things could actually create enough suction to keep it stuck to a window but they do. Somewhere I still have a wall walker. 

Not sure if they walked down a wall but they certainly managed windows.

Back in the Sixties I got some weird little plastic toys one Crimbo called Wall Walkers.

It was a sort of double plastic frame with a smiley face at the top and suckers at the bottom. It was purple.

Once set up on a window it could 'walk' down it by flipping over itself a bit like a flat slinky!

I loved that wallwalker and thinking of it takes me right back to Christmas '69!

Wall Walkers

Amongst the many stocking fillers we enjoyed as kids in the Sixties were Wall Walkers. These cool plastic gadgets could walk down windows and any vertical shiny surface. Using suction cup technology there were the next evolutionary step up from the classic Slinky. Wall Walkers came in many different designs like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. the one I remember the most is a green frame with purple trim and a sort of happy face. Anyone else remember Wall Walkers?
