Project SWORD began today 57 years ago!
It began its life as a comic strip in SOLO comics in 1967.
Over Half a century!
Most of the toys were introduced to us kids in issue 19 of SOLO.
Those toys and SOLO comics are still around today for us to enjoy again, which is quite amazing really.
To celebrate today here's the first Project SWORD strip narrated by ..... yours truly! Don't laugh!
Do you remember this strip?
"This is a directive!" Very impressive, adds a whole new dimension to the story. Cannot wait for the next installment!
ReplyDeleteHa ha, thanks Arto!
DeleteSibor's techno-babble ranks among the best totally confusing space tech speak! Actually, that kind of stuff happens in real life: one time at Commander's Call one of my old squadron commanders was briefing us on programs, progress made to date, and future projects. It would have been fine if he had been speaking English, but he used soooo much technical language in such a god-awful awkward manner, that I came out of the meeting totally confused by what he said!!
ReplyDeleteHe he, you gotta love well-delivered BS Ed!
