The orange Ever Ready ones and the blue Ever Ready ones I absolutely recall. The rest not so much. Still, never thought I'd see those again. On a practical note, why aren't they weeping acid and rotting by now ?
The very tall one at the back looks familiar. Over 50 years ago I had a small candle shaped light in a holder that had a single tall battery which filled up the entire plastic 'candle', with a small bulb instead of a flame. The candle unscrewed to change the battery. It was very nice.
Lovely collection Will. Ever Ready is as synonimous with my childhood as Batteries not included! Ive locked my laptop somehow so now relying on my phone to comment.
Xmas wasn’t xmas without Ever Ready. I bought a box of Pifco torches a few years back and was amazed to find a little ER penlight battery in one of them. https://projectswordtoys.blogspot.com/2016/12/light-entertainment.html?m=1
Wow, that brings back memories!
ReplyDeleteAmazing, how do they survive without bursting all acidy-powder everywhere?

EVER READY as lifeless today as they were when new.
ReplyDeleteThe U2's at the back look like they may be the dummy/display ones to go in store windows as the condition is so clean.
