Holy Bat Toy!
Some photos I’ve
taken in my McFarlane Classic TV series , Batcave which
came out in 2021.
The hinged diorama
set, which opens up to 24", features the Atomic Pile, Batpoles, Bat Computer, Bat Memory
Bank, Bat Navigational Aids, and a large assortment of miscellaneous Bat
consoles and control panels.
The classic TV
series’, Batman, and Boy Wonder, Robin
doesn’t come with set, you have to buy the two crime-fighters
separately, as well as their Action Figure sized, Batmobile!
Actually, things aren't really in scale with each other. The 6" Figures are a tad too big for the set, and some care is needed to ease them into the Batmobile, especially the Batman figure which has the added problem of negotiating around the Bat steering wheel.
They do fit, though, well, just about! Feel the wind in your cowl, Batman!
The Bat Computer and Memory Bank panels. "
Have we ever tackled a Bat criminal who shrinks things, Batman?"
"Lets check the Bat files, Robin"
" Ring Commissioner Gordon, or maybe the Secret Service!".
Personally, I think the Batcave diorama, both the figures and the Batmobile look fine, in spite of the scale issues.
The detail in the McFarlane Batmobile isn't as good as the old Mattel 1:12 scale version, but it's no deal breaker, and probably a lot cheaper to buy.
The figures look great with plenty of articulation, and the Batcave has a super backdrop and loads of control banks and panels.
All in all, lots of play value, lots of fun, and all for not a lot of money.
