The missus and me are just a few episodes from the end of the US TV show Manifest. It's been a bumpy but compulsive flight!
There are 62 episodes in total. It's been a big investment of time but hey, it's winter in the UK and evening binge watching is cozy in our warm telly room with our tea.
The longest series we've box-watched was Silent Witness during Lockdown. 22 seasons I think. It was a mammoth auropsy!
Not sure what we'll watch next. Long series are a lot of fun.
The X-Files could be continued and there are over 1200 episodes of Dark Shadows!
Our daughter and hub have just finished Star Trek Next Gen and moved onto Voyager. Unsure where they'll go after that. Deep Space 9?
Are you watching a big box set or long series readers?
We're currently watching "The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle."
ReplyDeleteAnd it's Absolutely Hilarious. (If you liked "Danger Mouse" you'll like this one.)
We only watch 1 episode per night.
Other shows we've watched and really enjoyed: "Hogan's Heroes" "Benny Hill" "Sherlock Hound" "The Addams Family"
I am currently watching The Avengers, but I keep getting distracted by other things - mainly models and articles.
ReplyDeleteHogan's Heroes !
ReplyDeleteI used to love that show, with Commandant Klink and Sergeant "I know nothing, I see nothing !" Shultz.
My Parents used to watch that show every night on DVD for years.
DeleteI'd forgotten just how good it is.
The Characters, the writing, the jokes... Everything about it.
Honestly, I think it's the best Sitcom I've ever watched.
Not especially long series, I've just finished watching Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), and am now watching Sapphire and Steel.
ReplyDeleteNever seen Sapphire and Steel Kev. Is it like the X Files?
DeleteA little bit, slightly. But the two leads are not human (and are possibly not even living). They are sent to fix problems with time and the fundamental nature of the universe! They often give the impression of trying to deal with entities that are far more powerful than they are!
DeleteI loved the original version of Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased). Hogan's Heroes was another great series - there was even a tie-in kit of Colonel Hogan's Jeep (in a POW camp ?).
ReplyDeleteYes, I liked Randall and Hopkirk too. It was really well-made.
