Around 2001 I saw a Century 21 office notepad on Ebay. I didn't know why I didn't bid but I have often wondered what wonderful instructions were given on that pad. Perhaps commissioning Thunderbirds or sanctioning Project SWORD as a toy line!
having worked in offices for decades I always found letterheads appealing before the onset of email.
Letters were king once and I have designed a number of toy dealer letterheads for myself when I was active buying and selling. My favourite involved a Frankenstein Junior logo and a Marine Boy watermark!
I have often imagined various fantasy letterheads too and here's a basic one for a SWORD-type operation. I haven't called it Project SWORD as that's still owned by Century 21 Toys Ltd.
What fantasy letterhead would you like? Examples by email welcomed!
That is a great idea. It would be easy to create "new" stationary for any number of Supermarionation/C21 concerns. I had a pen-pal back in the 1980s who commissioned someone to create personal stationary on which his name was spelled using Captain Scarlet-style letters - very cool!
ReplyDeleteThanks Zigg. Your pen pals Cap Scarlet letterhead sounds ace. Did you get letters on that paper?
