I'm keeping up with the total eclipse on the telly here in the UK.
I'm very envious of our American readers who will hopefully be able to see it in its totality!
Are you watching over in the USA?
Watch out for the Sun's atmosphere, the Corona.
Someone get a Project SWORD or Golden Astronaut toy in a photograph with the eclipse please!
Yes at work we took turns watching it through welding goggles at it's height, about 3 hours ago as I type. The news said we were only seeing it at 75 percent intensity,so the sky only looked slightly overcast.Oh well, better luck in 2024 I guess!
ReplyDeletewelding goggles! ha ha. Great improvisation. I watched the whole thing on the box!
DeleteHere in the Las Vegas, in the middle of the desert of all places, it rained most of the morning and the sky was a solid mass of clouds. I couldn't really tell where the sun was to see it disappear.
ReplyDeleteWe only got 70% coverage... I think I detected a slight dip in the light, but it was already pretty dark outside.
Rain the desert? Bet that made a welcome change Knobgobbler. It looked pretty spectacular across the central path the eclipse too. It was shown all day here in the UK on the TV. I expected world shattering events, hordes of vampires, volcanoes and alien invasions. I've clearly been watching too many sci fi films!
