I've just returned from a very warm 16 day trip to Germany. Scoop has done a sterling job keeping the blog going and I am almost inclined to leave him to it as he's so good at blogging! Cheers Scoop!
To give Scoop a well-earned rest I'll bore you all senseless with some holiday snaps! The first is a group shot of the bric-a-brac [in German, Krempel] that Mrs. Moonbase and I picked up there from car boots [Floh Markte] and one chain of charity shops [Diakonie].
Along with a nice old Blau Saks coffee set, there's a lovely and complete boxed German version of the Uri Geller Strikes board game by Matchbox. There's also a gorgeous Cowboy board game, a couple of Multimac toys, some old Barbies and Kens, some German vintage space books, a new Star Wars mag with a dead-ringer for a SWORD Scout 3 free gift on the cover and other odds n sods including a 1976 Hot Wheels '57 Chevy.
One item I have yet to identify is an American Indian action figure by Mattel. When I saw it I thought it was Tonto from the Gabriel Lone Ranger range. It has stomach pump arm action. It says 1971 on his back and 1975 on his neck. Any ideas would get a heap big welcome!
Welcome back Woodsy
ReplyDeleteGlad to have you back Woodsy! Could your Indian figure be one of the Karl May line?

ReplyDeleteThanks guys! And yes, I think your'e right Arto! It looks like a Karl May Winnetou! Result! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to have a great holiday Woodsy!! It like like you brought home a veritable treasure trove! Great stuff!
ReplyDeleteCheers Ed. Just trying to ID all the toys I picked up. So far I have a German issue Karl May Winnetou figure, two Mattel Skipper dolls, a Star Wars Interceptor Mini Rig, a Hot Wheels Chevy 57 from 1976 and a Kidco Burning Key Truck from 1980. All krempel as they'd say in Germany but a lot of fun.
