As the box says it had an automatic diving and resurfacing action, or at the flick of a switch underneath it would cruise on the surface.
According to some sources this is apparently an early version from the late sixties/early seventies. A later version called the U-8 had a slightly different twin battery compartment.
The perfect toy for the seaside, or just a cruise in the bath - Dive, Dive, Dive!
Definitely not sub-standard Mike! I love a good sub, one of the regular toy buys during the sixties alongside spaceships and hovercraft. Its very like the Airfix Diving Submarine too.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is very like the Airfix sub. I imagine the Nautilus nuclear sub was main the basis for the designs .
ReplyDeleteThat was a great find Scoop. Like Bill, I luv a good sub.
