3. Fireflash, International Rescue own the others
ReplyDelete10. A St. Christopher medallion?
Well done Kev! That's two down! You can answer three more if you want.
ReplyDeleteOk, let's try
ReplyDelete12. Cadbury Milk Tray
16. Both based on Ian Fleming stories.
21. They are transparent.
Way to go Kev! All correct. That's five down! Twenty to go!
ReplyDeleteAlthough Kev is technically right 3 to me is a little open to interpretation. I would have said Firefly, as all the others appear on the end credits of Thunderbirds
ReplyDelete22 would be the real name of the first Flash, but its also the name of the character Ed Bishop played in the TV series of Whoops Apocalypse!
1. Night - using a portmanteau style which I'd imagine inspired some of the later Amicus films.
18. The classic Johnny Seven - One Man Army - I'll get one one day Woodsy ; -)
16. The original novels of both the films were written by Ian Fleming
It was the Flash I was thinking of Scoop. I didn't know that about Ed Bishop. Doh! The perils of quizmastering! As for Thunderbirds, I suppose there could be loads of answers for any question. Kev got the one I was thinking of. F.A.B!
DeleteNice one Scoop: 1, 22 and 18 all correct! 3 and 16 already taken. You get two more go's.
ReplyDelete#5 Birnkrantz
ReplyDeleteCorrect Brian, just without the Z. You get four more go's!
ReplyDeleteNo.23...both films have children discovering someone who they think might be Jesus!
ReplyDeleteLoved "Whistle Down The Wind" with Alan Bates, always did like him!
Hey Evil, that's it! Nice one. I loved WDTW too. I nearly called my Daughter Hayley after Halyey Mills in the film! I read Skellig last year and saw the flick recently. There are probably more fo;ms like this but these two are great. BTW you get four more goes Ed!
ReplyDeletefo;ms? I meant films! Doh!
ReplyDelete#4.Havent seen Candyman in a while ,I think 5.#6 How about Shazam!#17 Gorgo, although there is a fantastic Aurora-like model of him available.#8.I'll say gutter or storm drain.
ReplyDeleteYou got all of 'em Brian! Well done! Don't know that Gorgo model but I'll have to check it out!
ReplyDeleteThe company that made the Gorgo kit is Monarch, and it's a total Aurora tribute right down to the artwork on the box.I've also seen a "Frightning Lightning" version with Glow parts.it's a beauty!
ReplyDeleteThese are still unanswered: 2, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 19. 20, 24, 25.
ReplyDelete11: The Salvage Craft is not based on Valigursky artwork.
ReplyDelete25: Both books have cover art connected to Spacex: Sinister Barrier has the Valigursky illustration that served as origin for the LAMA; Black Corridor has a Nova rocket fitted with the wings of a Reconnaissance 2.
Best -- Paul
Good stuff Paul! thought you'd be up for those two. Both correct. Try another three questions! 2, 7, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 19. 20, 24,
