A New Trend?

I'm noticing a new negative trend on eBay UK, winning bidders simply not paying and waiting for eBay to cancel their sale after about five days.

Not sure what's going on here. Non payment used to be a total no no on eBay, when I first started up. Seems it's accepted behaviour now!

For a seller it's a a real nuisance and a waste of valuable sales time. 

Grrrr. Rant over.

SPACE CRAWLER: LET'S ROLL!

 

Multiple wheeled vehicles are a staple on the Base.

This Space Crawler, seen on auction a while back, fits the bill.

It looks great and very flexible.

Looking at the cable it must be remote-controlled.

ARTO'S DARTS

The only find of today was from an indoor flea market, this dart pistol target game by a HK manufacturer TH (all new to me!). 

Looks like a 60's set. Not too many vintage unused sets come up, so I was quite delighted with this little find. I just wish that the targets were gangsters instead of animals!

The set number is CTI 2543/B and the card measures 25 x 21 cm.

Waddaya think?

Slim pickins down the boot sale today. The Missus had more luck getting outdoor toys for the Juniors this summer. Here's my meagre haul for £2.

The car is an Airfix E Type I think. The two Star Trekkers are from 2009. Chewwy is a bootleg. Anything you like?

ED'S NEW LP LUNAR EXLORATION BOXED SET

Woodsy and Fellow Moonbasers,

I am stoked to present this latest LP set I received last week (the second LP set in as many months): the LP #704 Lunar Exploration Set. 

It has three separate modules in one window display box and while most of the pieces are fairly easy to come by here, the OD vehicle and the yellow 'bus' are bears to acquire. 

The bus is my first one.

Pencil cases were and are a staple of space race celebration.

Something every kid had, pencils and pens were the upright heralds of a brighter, sleeker future [did it arrive?]

This old Italian case by Regis is a fabulous example and I love how the perspective of the capsule is captured in the design. I saw it on auction.
