I'm noticing a new negative trend on eBay UK, winning bidders simply not paying and waiting for eBay to cancel their sale after about five days.
Not sure what's going on here. Non payment used to be a total no no on eBay, when I first started up. Seems it's accepted behaviour now!
For a seller it's a a real nuisance and a waste of valuable sales time.
Grrrr. Rant over.
Is this something you've come across readers?
It’s a reflection of the deterioration of civil society in general, I’m afraid. I pay instantly, but then again I want the item. And there are no real repercussions on ebay. Part of doing online business, I’m afraid. Sorry to hear it, though. Must take all the fun out of selling! SFZ
ReplyDeleteYou may be right SF. The way things are. Most buyers pay so maybe I should just accept non payers, like bad debts.
DeleteIf you get their user names, can you refuse to do business with them? Surely their buyer scores would be bad?
DeleteYou can report buyers yes Looey. You can block them too.
DeleteAnd another one today!
