THE EAGLE HAS SUNK!

I was recently watching a modern episode of Thunderbirds Are Go called Ring of Fire with Junior [secretly wishing it was the original show!]

Half-dozing on his futon I caught an image in the corner of my eye.

'That's the Eagle Transporter!' I cried.

Or at least its nose.

Junior didn't know what I was on about. Space 1999 hasn't appeared on our joint radar yet.

I dozed off again.

Anyone know what the Eagle is doing in Thunderbirds Are Go?

Monarch Models Moon Suit - Suitable for MMM

Calling all Major Matt Mason fans - Monarch have just issued a kit of the MMM Moon Suit - 15 years after the kit was first announced!

This is an unboxing video by CultTVman.

The review is from February 2024. A 2023 copyright date is visible on the instruction sheet, which is printed in colour.

There is also an information sheet on the real suit. This shows the suit on the Moon, as it appeared on the cover of Life magazine, 27th April 1962.

The kit is 1/8th scale, and is moulded in white, black, grey, and clear plastic. It comes with a diorama base, as is common with Monarch kits.

The decals are not the normal water-slide type, and this is pointed out in the review, and on the kit instruction sheet. Regular decals would have been better.

Monarch is a Canadian company, from London, Ontario, making specialist kits for enthusiasts, in limited numbers. That means they are going to be expensive (over $60 US) and hard to find, but look to be very high quality.

This looks like a great kit. I can think of at least a couple of people who will want one.

Late Night Lunar

The Smallest FAB1's?

I've got a thing for FAB1 at the mo.

Remember this Pizza Hut cup lid from the early 90's. I had them all back then. Our daughter was 9 back then so we ate a lot of Pizza and Ice Cream from the Factory!

This FAB lid is from an old auction. Anyone got any more?

The little Rolls above isn't one I had. From Yujin, a Japanese make that released gorgeous miniature gumball-style Thunderbirds toys. Other companies did the same. Have you got any?
