That is very good! I have a big soft spot for Action Man spacemen! Having made my own as a kid, using my mother's Singer sewing machine and much more recently, a couple of 2001 style astronauts, I think space Action figures must be in both our DNA.
The one thing (of many!) I never had in my life was a Madelman 2001 figure. I'll bet if you could find something as a base for the helmet, you'd ace your own repro version! You'd certainly be able to mock up a package, given all those photos I saw on a website called Moonbase Central!
