Not all of my airplanes are fighters or bombers. Airliners also have their place in the collection.
I love the sleek, graceful lines of these birds and we see a ton of them fly over the house. Our airport (Harry Reid Int'l) here in Vegas is way to the south of us but often times the airliners get diverted to a path that is just over our house - that is when the planes from Nelis AFB aren't crowding the skies!

I like that. I still have the TN toys DC9 airliner that I had as a child.
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm afraid none of my childhood toys survived that horrible period in my life known as 'growing up'! Although, I still have my toybox - surviving the years being put to use as a storage conatiner.
DeleteMy Mum kept a few for me and I reclaimed them many years later from her.
DeleteGorgeous! I recall having one or two tin airliners, battery operated, and they were very dear to me. Probably a 707 or something similar, as this would be the early 60s. SFZ
ReplyDeleteI'll have to send Woodsy the photos of my 707. It's another large aircraft in PanAm livery.
DeleteThanks Ed. All present and correct!
DeleteA beautiful toy 747, Ed. I remember having plastic airliners as a kid. The plastic has long gone, but the memory lives on.
ReplyDeleteThanx Tony! I remember having one toy tin-litho airliner as a kid but for the life of me don't remember if it was a 707, 727 or whatever.
