A recent Hot Wheels hunt turned up one this model, the Quick Bite food truck. This version is part of the 2023 range, and has Hot Chicken on the sides.
It is included in the Sweet Rides sub-series of food related models. The model comes in two colour schemes: yellow, with orange and red flames; or green, with orange and yellow flames. Both have a black plastic interior.
On the side is the menu: One fireball - Mild; two fireballs - Hot; three fireballs - Xtra Hot; four fireballs - Fire !
Quick Bite started out in the 1980s as the
Good Humor Ice Cream Truck, but there
have been a number of changes over the years. This version has a plastic body, and a metal baseplate, with the dates 2017, 18 cast-in.

Never heard of Quick Bite or Good Humor Paul. Are they American companies? Very nice die-cast. Do you leave your models on the blister?
ReplyDeleteI do not know about Quick Bite, I think it is just the name of the model itself. Good Humor is, or was, the name of an American icecream company. They had a fleet of trucks that went around the streets selling icecreams. You sometimes see them in movies or TV shows.
ReplyDeleteThere was even a movie called The Good Humor Man (1950), which involved murder and icecream. George Reeves (Superman) was in it.
Most of my models are still on the card, but I do open some of them. Usually so I can photograph the models.
