Hi Woodsy.
Here's some Harryhausen stuff by X Plus and Gentle Giant.
The boxed figures are 12 inch, the loose figures are 6 inch and the small dioramas are about 4 inches high.
Since you mentioned "Obie" recently, I threw in an X Plus King Kong in a very nice window box!

An amazing collection of Kaiju Bri!! Your collection is so wide and you have monster toys I didn't know existed!
ReplyDeleteWow, It Came From Beneath The Sea had been recognised as a model! A giant, radioactive octopus gets it's due.
ReplyDeleteIt Came was also the inspiration for Astro Nautilus Terran, one of the toy figures from Mel Birnkrant's magnificant Outer Space Men toy line. You can see it pictured on this page about Mel's toy origins http://melbirnkrant.com/osminterviews/page1.html
DeleteThat is an impressive Harryhausen monster collection, Brian. The YMIR is my fave. Do you have a fave out of this bunch? :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm...Tough one, Tony.I would say Medusa for all it's detail.Minoton takes second prize.
ReplyDeleteAs a lad, Medusa was a monster which unsettled me more than most, Brian. You're right, she is very well detailed. And yes, it still looks scary to me.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I thought you'd have chosen Kong as your fave? I do take your point though, it's a tricky call, as they're all excellent examples of Harryhausen's amazing creature creations :)
I wish X Plus would have expanded their line further.I would have loved to have an action figure of Gwangi,or the Beast from 20,000 fathoms
