My Cruiser 1 stands next to a small wooden castle I made in 1981.
Me and Missus Moonbase made everyone a home-made Christmas present that year using wood, clay, paper and stone among other things.
This little dark castle was during my extended Lord of the Rings phase in my late teens and early twenties.
I vividly remember sharpening dowels with a pencil sharpener to make the pointed towers. Two are sadly lost in Mordor somewhere.
I gave it the Missus that crafty Christmas along with a wooden Arthurian Triptych and clay Glastonbury Tor and Monster!
She liked them!
Those were the days!
Did you ever make your own presents for people readers?
Nice castle. Yes, I do sometimes make christmas presents for people. I made a fairground stall for a friend's christmas village set up not too long ago.

DeleteDo you know, I don't think I do, which isn't like me!
