The American Golden Astronaut Triple packs by Multiple Toymakers are things of beauty for sure. I've only ever seen photo's of them and here are some I've archived over the years from auction sites.
The pictures above show the same Moon Exploration set but with the Moon Bus colours reversed in each.
The pair above show two Interplanetary Patrol packs with, this time, the colours of the Nuclear Freighter reversed.
I don't know if there were more GA triple packs. I don't think SpaceX released any, although Bullycan of Spain sold at least two packs of three Spacex knockoffs on carded blisters called Aviones Cosmicos, shown below. Note the different colours. The Nuclear Freighter appears in both the American and Spanush tri-packs. I'm unsure if there are any more different Bullycan ones.

There's a triple pack for each of the GA themed series, I'm still looking for the other two (Launch Site and Space Probe).

Of course, the Roxy triple pack. I've seen that too. Wonder why Bullycan focused on just three of the SpaceX range to copy and then in different colours. Do you consider them to be knockoffs Paul? Thanks for the Golden Astronaut info too. There's just so much to collect! What we need is a definitive website on all things SpaceX!
DeleteFrom what I've seen of Bullycan's early stuff, they just did three of anything (cars, boats, ...) and then produced those in lots of different colours. Making the most of the serious investment of having moulds produced. And how could the Aviones Cosmicos be anything else than knockoffs?

I actually can recall seeing those triple-packs being sold in retail stores here in 1960s America, one merchant in particular, Jubilee City by name, had a large hanging 'shelf' of all the Golden Astronaut items,
ReplyDeletefascinating Patron, That must have been a fantastic sight in Jubilee City. Wonder of any photo's were taken of the displays. Could they be online somewhere? Who knows. Did you have any Golden Astronaut toys yourself?
