Hello Woodsy,
I purchased this tinplate car in New York in 1974 when I moved to the US. At the time I was attracted to the fact that:
1) It was so garish
2) It had the BOAC logo all over it while in the UK BOAC was being combined with BEA to both be named British airways.
Yes, a lower case a for airways which promptly changed a short time later to British Airways. Heaven only knows how much money was wasted over that branding re launch.
British Airways became the largest employer on Long Island for all their staff at Kennedy Airport both passenger and cargo. None of their road vehicles were ever so obviously marked and I spend many trips over the years going through JFK.
It has no markings as to make or country of origin.
