I used to collect Batman and Monsters when I first started collecting in the early 90's. Super hero action figures too.

At some point I changed direction and focused on Project SWORD toys.

Have you ever changed tack in your collecting readers?

WHAT IS ROBOTIX?

I saw this Mars Cruiser and thought ....hmmm, Micronauts.

But it isn't. Its Robotix.

What's that?

Sending this to you direct but it's intended for the blog if you feel it's worth the shot. 

As I seem to be around the same age as most of you guys I was really happy to see the slight digressions into the musical side of things which put me in mind of a few tracks I had to "Youtube" up just to ensure my brain cells weren't playing tricks - guess they would fall into the category of "why weren't these guys HUGE at the time?!" towit:

The latter band was fronted by Jackie Leven who, unfairly perhaps, was always destined to be overshadowed by Van Morrison but in the way that you did when you were younger (well I did anyway) I always preferred Leven's songs because it was a kind of secret known only to the "select few" of me and my mates  - imagine Van's style of songs but with much much more emotional content - 

Leven in later years became an "enfant terrible" due to drink and drug problems but as sometimes happens his personal demons allowed him to create some pure gold as in:

TRACTOR ESPACIAL TOY: SPANISH LP MOON EXPLORER NEW TO THE BLOG

It's always great when things come together.

Earlier this year I found a Spanish toy catalogue entry for JP versions of LP space vehicles.

And like two buses arriving, an actual toy came up shortly after!

So here, courtesy of the new owner of both, is a collage of the catalogue entry and the Tractor Espacial.

PRODUCT ENTERPRISE MOBILES

With just over six weeks to go before SHADO Con 2, I'm beginning to fill with the spirit of UFO. To push things along I've dug out my Product Enterprise SHADO Mobiles, and taken a few photos.

Not that I need much of an excuse  to take snaps of any of the old Product Enterprise line, as they are all great models.

As most collectors will know the first releases of the P.E. Mobiles suffered from some disappointing weathering which spoilt the look of these otherwise excellent models. A new batch was later released with a more attractive look. Unfortunately,shortly after Product Enterprise ceased trading under that banner.

P.E. released three versions, SHADO 1, which has a flip up rocket launcher, a (hand) rotating cannon, and an additional aerial.

SHADO 2, which has no additional extras.

SHADO CONTROL which has the (hand) rotating radar on top.

Man all Mobiles...
