Woodsy,
Just for fun, here are pix of a few German HO scale houses I've decided to take to Goodwill.
I've had them for years, and frankly, I need the space! No train layout anymore, so I have to be discerning on what I keep.
All of these hail from the 1960's, although some of the builds are more recent.

It's great to see these colourfull models again. Back in the 1950's I made a family trip to Switzerland where I bought two Faller model kits which I still have somewhere. A chalet and a working watermill.
ReplyDeleteI was used to Airfix building kits of one colour plastic that required painting so it was quite a revelation to find these kits molded in many colours, no painting required!
Actually, these models are painted! Although the German railroad model buildings did come molded in colorful plastic, and no painting was required. I had many of those, too, but decided that a good paint job couldn't hurt. I had so many Faller kits, and Kibri, and Vollmer, etc. Another life. SFZ
DeleteMy compliments on the choice of colours as they nicely reflect the cheerful bright plastics of Faller.
DeleteAnother collection of beautifully built and painted models. I hope they all find good homes.
ReplyDeleteI'm instantly reminded of the houses in Craigsville.
ReplyDeleteNot a nice place to live if the Zero-X has to make a forced landing!
Yes indeed, poor Craigsville! SFZ
DeleteBeautiful models Rob, each a work of art! The pictures are lovely too!
ReplyDeleteLike the gouaches you paint Rob!
