Our Grandkids are enjoying the spoils of their Easter Sunday egg hunt around the caravan.
It's not only eggs though, there are toys!
Minecraft Lego, magic tricks, joke books and small sleeping bags called happy nappers!
I remember getting a lot of Easter eggs at Easter back in the Sixties.
some did come in fantastic cardboard clocks, big cups and a plastic truck all with a big foil-wrapped egg packaged in cellophane.
I don't remember getting any other prezzies though like at Christmas: how cool it would have been to get space toys or action men at Easter!.
Did you get Easter presents or anything more than chocolate readers?
It was just chocolate eggs for me too Woodsy, but I think they did special 'cut out and make' gifts as part of the cardboard packaging, on some of the eggs.
ReplyDeleteYeah, they were great Mish. Endless fun on a wet Easter Day!
DeleteWe've been cheating in that we've been eating chocolate Easter bunnies and candy now for weeks! LOL Gotta love these holidays where the big variety bags of chocolate are available!! My granddaughter isn't really into toys anymore, so a Roblox gift card suffices - along with an Easter basket full of sugar-rush goodies hahahaha
ReplyDeleteRoblox eh! Our Grandson has just discovered Minecraft Ed. Pokémon is just about hanging onto top spot though!
DeleteI remember getting a cardboard tube of chocolate medallions. It was printed up to look like a Knight in Armour and it had an elaborate folded visor that could pivot up and down to reveal his face!
ReplyDeleteThat so rings a bell Looey!
