I needed a new project this week and I've always liked the Corgi Popeye Paddlewagon since having one as a young spinach gobbler.
I thought I'd make one. A Paddlewagon.
I found an old smallish car and consulted the Great Book of Corgi.
I scoured my bits drawers and began glueing stuff together. Popeye, Olive Oil, the lot.
After a while it was done. I just needed a tin of spinach and the car a lick of paint.
Finished!
Hope Popeye's happy.
You are doing with toys what I do with props. Want one, so I'll make one. Well done!
ReplyDeleteCheers Kev, thanks a lot.
DeleteAbsolutely brilliant! SFZ
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch SF!
DeleteThere seems to be nothing you cannot accomplish, Woodsy. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteAw, thank you so much Arto, thats very kind.
DeleteWow! That lick of paint really transforms it!
ReplyDeleteIt does doesn't it, although I quite liked the raw original without any paint too Looey!
DeleteAnother amazing project. Well done. I have the Corgi Popeye Paddlewagon, and a Corgi Juniors Popeye boat. Both picked up at fairs. Alas, I do not have the Olive Oyl aeroplane.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Paul. Thanks for the Paddlewagon info today too.
DeleteWaaay cool Woodsy! You've got more projects done in two months than I have in 20 years! Awesome! I love that 'young spinach gobbler' line. As much as I tried as a kid I simply could not eat spinach. It wasn't until I ate my mother-in-laws creamed spinach while in Deutschland, that I was able to eat it. Hers was really really good!
ReplyDeleteYes, creamed spinach is tasty. It's best with frozen spinach I've been told.
DeleteAnd thanks Ed!
