The Blake's 7 fan community has been rocked to hear of the unexpected passing of Gary Holland.
Over time I've featured many photos and blog posts showing Gary's numerous Blake's 7 props, both original and replica, along with his huge variety of original costumes, preserving an amazing collection designed by June Hudson , which he was always happy to display for our enjoyment at various events,
Here's Gary standing beside Jon Pertwee look-a-like, Scott Goodman at last year's Cromford event.
Here's some photos of Gary's varied Blake's 7 prop collection.
Gary, you will certainly be missed - Rest in peace, mate.
Shocking and sad.

ReplyDeleteTerribly sad news about a lovely guy, he will be missed.
ReplyDeleteDid he exhibit at Smallspace Scoop ?
ReplyDeleteHe did, Mish. At last year's Smallspace he was actually dressed in the red outfit, worn by Roy Kinnear in the B7 episode, 'Gold'.
DeleteThen I will have met him.
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't look very old.
A sad loss.
Not familiar with the man or the program, but certainly applaud his dedication to keeping the history of a beloved cultural icon alive. Another good one, gone too soon. SFZ
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Zigg, very sad. Gary was a lovely bloke, very friendly and easy to chat to.
DeleteFYI Blake's 7 is a sci-fi series made in the late seventies , and the BBC's low budget answer to Star Wars. However, in spite of that, it still holds a cult status and maintains a fairly large, and loyal fan base in the U.K.
So sad. A lovely man RIP Gary
