We're currently holidaying in Swaledale in the glorious Yorkshire Dales. Not many old toys about but here's a few snaps anyway.
The ever-present cow barns, of which there are thousands.
A Dan Dare display in a museum. He gets around!
Said Museum.
The brooding hills.
An old Royal Mail van.
Not sure of the make or age.
I loved these Dales patches to iron on. They reminded me of own iron on patches back in the 70's. I had loads. The stickers for pushbikes too, foil decals that stuck on for show. Did you have those readers?
Thanks to Google Lens, I now know the van is a 1966 Morris LD commercial.
ReplyDeleteYou can find a whole page of vintage GPO vans here...

But if you think that's impressive, Lens took your photo and matched the actial license plate!
It seems your particular van is a TV star and has its own Facebook page!
