That's a fab effect, Kevin. Ideal for photos.
Thank you.
Amazing Kev! Is that cotton wool? Looks the business that!
Thanks. Yep, TB2 is on perspex legs, with painted flame effect, cotton wool, illuminated from below.
Those are great photographs, and the effects are first class. Pure Thunderbirds.
Thank you, much appreciated.
That really looks great, and let's not forget to complement the ship itself! If I were to wrack my brain for any tweak that might add to the effect, I'd wonder about somehow lighting the "flames." But it's hardly necessary, it's a tremendous effect.
Thanks, you're right, lighting the down thrusts would've been good, I just couldn't think of an easy way to do it!
Glorious photos, really brings back the Thunderbirds vibe! SFZ
Thanks very much.
Lovely Thunderbird 2 model, Kev. Is it a kit, and what base colour of green did you use?
Thanks. TB2 is my scratchbuild. I think I used a Tamiya green spray, it was the closest I could get and heaven knows what the right one is!
Yeah, I know what you mean. I was talking to modeller, David Sisson a while back and he reckons just use what looks right.
Makes sense. You sometimes see the same picture of a model in different places and it looks a different colour.
