As Woodsy brought up the Big, Big Train I'm reminded I did a post on that great toy way back in 2013, along with a video.

Here's my YouTube video and link.

Rentamog did a good job.
ReplyDeleteThey did indeed, Terra! : D
DeleteWas this locomotive detailed up and featured in a Gerry Anderson show? Maybe Joe 90 or Secret Service?
ReplyDeleteIt's used in the Secret Service episode Last Train to Buffers Halt, Lewis.
DeleteGod, was that really 2013? I remember you buying that box of big big trains vividly Scoop! I also recall your post and brilliant film, so thanks for sharing; there's so much great stuff tucked away on the blog. I'm regretting not having a haggle for the NOVO train set at the boot sale now but then again it wasn't original like yours and the one I had as a kid. As for Oscar, he deserved one!
ReplyDeleteYeah, quite a while ago Woodsy, it was when we all went to the toy fair at the Reebok stadium if memory serves, I seem to remember you spotting it and pointing me in the right direction.
DeleteIt certainly was a good buy., and I was very chuffed with it, so much so I actually went and bought a boxed NOVO set not long after.
Oscar and Felix were certainly intrigued and were happy to get in on the act!
Lovely video packed with good angles and cool perspectives, Scoop. Hope the Felix and Oscar were rewarded for their outstanding participation :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Tony. Watching it now I think I should have maybe made up a bit of a story behind it, rather than just have the train going round the track, but I do admit it was fun to film and edit together.
DeleteThe cats were already divas long before filming began, and just demanded more 'Dreamies'!
Great stuff, Scoop :)
