GI JOE AND THE SECRET OF THE DARK LAGOON: THE FLYER
Hello Woodsy,
Many years back I bought a 5" figure from the GI Joe range that I repainted as Dan Dare. I just found this insert from the packaging, a small flyer that may be of interest.
That was an amazing toy range. In the UK they were originally called Action Force. The first wave was inspired by larger Action Man military figures. These early figures suffered from very limited articulation. The Action Force range soon expanded with new exciting new characters, vehicles and playsets. Equally importantly for kids, they now had much better articulation to help them in their fight against the evil Cobra. Eventually the range became known as GI Joe and enjoyed a very long life span :)
I liked this leaflet too, a great bit of ephemera Terran. I liked looking for Action Force figs at car Boot Sales Tone. The grey uniforms and red arrow insignia reminded me of the troopers in the Project SWORD Annual!
